After your secondary education, you will require any of these qualifications to enter any of the UK University. You may be wondering which of these qualifications is most appropriate for my education goals. To start with, what is A Levels? And, do I need the A Levels route?
Well, the A-level, or “Advanced Level” is a grade of education that is offered by educational institutions such as schools and colleges and is an accepted form of qualification.
A-levels are generally a two-year course and majority of students enroll onto an A Levels course at the age of 16- 18 due to the high standard of entries to each university, meaning the institution requires a certain academic grade and subject of A Levels in order for them to offer a student a place.
Foundation is a one-year intensive course mainly designed for international students wishing to gain entry into British universities. This program is aimed at improving students academic and study skills as well as English level sufficient enough for entry into a wide range of degrees (except Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy) at UK universities.
However, even if many universities, colleges, and Pathway providers have offered Medical Foundation programme, the A Levels still remains the mostly acceptable route to UK Medical Schools
